I'm sad they haven't included more "modern" books to the list. I love God of Small Things, The Handmaid's Tale, The Stranger, anything by Capote, the Road by Cormac McCarthy, Atonement by McEwan, and where is the Bell Jar by Plath? Or Bel Canto? Or Namesake?
