We are still crazy busy here in Orem, as life didn't really stop when we came back from Vacation. We had a wonderful trip with both families, and really didn't want to come home quite yet. Some of the highlights: our first Christmas together, Randy learning the Weatherspoon family traditions for Christmas Eve and Christmas day, playing games with my parents, our train ride up to Seattle, playing Lazar tag with the Johnson clan, going to the Lobster Shop with Joy and Matt, seeing little Henry get blessed, and just spending time with everyone we don't see as often as we would like.
Now we are back in the swing of things. Both of us are now working at Sakora, selling beautiful jewelery and enjoying spending more time together. We have been very blessed with good jobs and more financial stability than we had earlier on in our marriage, so we are very thankful for that. Of course, with added blessings come a few new challenges so you don't get soft. Our car is having power steering "issues" along with its other delightful quirks, so we are going to have to tackle that. But the joy of it all is that through it all we can laugh, and come up with a little song to sing to the refrain of our beeping car (ask Randy, he'll sing it for you. It's what keeps us sane).
The Christmas decorations have come down (I'll post Christmas pictures once I get myself organized!) but we have so much to look forward to in the next little while. This Saturday, the 12th, is our one year anniversary. We are excited to finally make that year mark still feeling like newlyweds, and more in love than the day we were married. Two weeks after that Randy turns 25, and then in a few weeks after that it is Valentine's day (one of my favorite holidays--hey, my favorite color is pink) and then it is my birthday. I'll be turning . . . never mind. But my parents will be visiting from Oregon for my birthday weekend, and we are so excited to have them here for a few days and for them to see our little home.
No resolutions for us this year, other than to make each day a little better than the one before. 2007 brought quite a few unique challenges, but it also brought a lot of joy and opportunities for us to grow closer together. While I hope 2008 is maybe a little calmer, I know we will continue to find ways to be stronger and happier.

I can totally relate about the car problems. We have a leak in our power steering so sometimes it sounds oh so lovely when we turn corners. Not to mention the service engine light that has been on for two years. :)
